St. Patrick’s Day fun!

It was finally St. Patrick’s Day! We have been doing fun things leading up to this day all last week! Everyone dressed up in some kind of green so no one got pinched! We made shamrock pins and painted a rainbow with a pot of gold. it was great to be Irish for a day!

Irish Soda Bread

Baking is so much fun, and brings back a lot of fond memories for our residents! This last week we made some delicious Irish soda bread! It’s always really fun to make and even more so to eat!

Wearing of the Green

St. Patrick’s Day is such a fun holiday to celebrate! And our Memory Care residents have had a lot going on! We had a visit from Debra Bowers and her parents who sang and danced to some fun Irish songs. We are so grateful they come and share their love of music with us! And we had a visit from a Leprechaun!!

Presenting Act III

Our assisted living crew was recently visited by the Salt Lake Assistance League Act III Choir. We had a lot of fun dancing and singing with them. They even had an accordion to jam with. See below our residents getting their boogie on with this fabulous group.

Leprechaun Crafts

These are some fun pictures from two crafts our residents have done. A cute paper bag Leprechaun and a fun Leprechaun’s hat! We love getting into these fun holidays and of course everyone loves to do crafts!

A St. Patrick’s Day treat!

With St. Patrick’s Day coming up, we made a yummy green milkshake! Everyone helped put the ingredients together and make sure the recipe was right. It turned out great, and with a fun green cupcake it was the perfect St. Patrick’s Day snack!

Singing and Silliness

Our assisted living crew absolutely loves it when the Deci-Bells come to visit. Their voices are beautiful and the silliness they bring with their costumes, acting, and dancing make their performances even more memorable. We are so thankful that they are always willing to take time to come perform for us and visit with us after. See below for the fabulous costumes from their most recent performance.

A Presidential Craft

To celebrate President’s Day we refreshed our memories about all our presidents with some trivia. Then we did this fun George Washington craft!

Celebrating Chinese New Year

One of the many holidays in February that we celebrated was Chinese New year! We learned that it is also called the Lunar New year, we learned about some of the different foods they eat and also made these fun dragons!
