Grandpa’s Pond is a gem hidden on the western edge of Sandy City next to the Jordan River. The fish pond is man-made and stocked regularly by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. It is stocked with Bluegill, Trout and Small mouth Bass. The residents here at Carrington Court had a chance to take the day to relax at the pond and go fishing.
Oh who doesn’t love ice cream? Carrington Court loves to go out for ice cream here a couple pictures from the many trips we took to Leatherby’s Ice Cream Parlor this summer.
Every year we try to make a trip to Utah’s Hogle Zoo. So much has changed over the last few years at the zoo. They have made the animal enclosures so much bigger and realistic to the wild as possible. It seems that the animals really enjoy it. All of the animals we saw were outside enjoying themselves. This year the weather was beautiful! It wasn’t too hot and it wasn’t too cold. Thank you to all who helped out to make this possible! Scroll down and take a look at the fun time we had.
Every September we celebrate National Assisted Living Week! this year it was September 13-19. Here at Carrington Court we love to celebrate by dressing up and doing fun activities throughout the week! Monday, Nerd Day. Tuesday, Fitness Day. Wednesday, Lifting Spirits Day. Thursday, Cowboy/Indian Day. and Friday, Favorite Sports Day. Check it out!
A few weeks ago the residents here at Carrington Court had the chance to paint and decorate birdhouses. It took them two Saturdays to finish the craft. The first week the residents painted them and then the next week the CNA’s helped them decorate them. They put silk flowers, jewels, and buttons on them. Once the residents finished the birdhouses they wanted to stick them outside in our courtyard. Some of our residents enjoy going outside to get some fresh air and look at our houses we made.
