We used the last day of summer wisely! We got on the bus and off we drove to the Hogle Zoo. It was great weather with great volunteers and of course, as always, great Carrington Court residents. The Polar Bear delighted us, the sea lions gracefully swam for us, the bald eagles looked at us, and the elephants paraded for us.
Barbara Linford's face says it all - what a great picture!
Josie & Larene with new friend - a very soft stuffed polar bear!
Tya & Glyde soak up the sun!
Geanie & Violet enjoy the day!
Phil tells Kenzie how much the zoo has changed!
Emelia & Lauren hurry around the zoo to soak it all in!
Eliza, Helen and Dorothy are just so darn cute!
Father (Thomas) and Daughter (Laurie) enjoy time together!
Joseph (very serious) & Jane say hi!
Dennis & Gayle - go man power!
Son (Wayne) & Father (Alfred) sport some good looking sunglasses!
Jens & Jess say cheese!

Weighing ourselves on the big scale - wow - no more banana cream pie for us!

Glyde taking care of Teddy as we relax on the ride home!
On Wednesday, we created a spectacular fall floral arrangement – we even talked one man into participating. Our ladies and our “gentleman” always say they are not creative – you can tell by looking at the pictures that they certainly are creative.
The Alzheimer’s Association, Carrington Court, and numerous other partners and community members teamed-up for a Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Murray Park last Saturday morning and you couldn’t have asked for a better event.
There was great turn out from the community and partners that showed their strong resolve to end Alzheimer’s. The walk was a success from start to finish, even the weather cooperated.
We wanted to post a few pictures (see below) and thank the Alzheimer’s Association – Utah Chapter, and the community for all their support in this great cause.
A special shout-out to the Carrington Court Cares Team for all their contributions and the bodies on the street at the walk. It was wonderful to see you all and we are so proud to be associated with you great people.
Thanks everyone and lets continue in the fight to end Alzheimer’s!
We have had lots of laughs this past week as we celebrated “National Assisted Living Week”. Employees and residents enjoyed seeing what everyone would be wearing each day to celebrate our various themes. Cowboys, Pirates, Hawaii, Cartoon and Team Spirit. Enjoy our pictures!
This week is National Assisted Living Week! We are very excited at Carrington Court for this great opportunity to celebrate what we love to do, which is assisting our residents!
We have a wonderful lineup of themes throughout the week and activities and food to match the themes.

Today, Tuesday, September 11, 2012 we all dressed-up as pirates.
Wednesday, September 12, 2012 we will be dressing-up for our Hawaiian theme.

And last, but not least on Friday, September 14, 2012 we will be dressing-up in the attire of our favorite sports team.
