We Love a Parade!

Here at Carrington Court we sure do love parades! And even better when they are indoors! We had the chance to go and have a sneak peak of all the floats the the Days of ’47 Parade! It was great to get out and to see all the creative floats, they were awesome! And we are so grateful to all those who came and helped us!

All month long we have been loving all things patriotic! From singing songs and watching movies to doing fun crafts! Our residents made the Statue of Liberty torch and a crown, and decorations for their doors.

Days of ’47 Float Outing

For our outing today, we went to see the Days of ’47 Floats! There were amazing floats, that everyone worked so hard on. We can’t wait to see them in the parade! We want to thank all of our volunteers who helped us see the floats!

All spring long we took good care of our strawberry plants. Watering everyday making sure they grew! And this Summer we were able to harvest some delicious strawberries! Our residents loved eating them and seeing they came right from our garden!

You’re never too old to color!

We discovered that there are some artists here at Carrington Court! Today, we colored pictures and the resident’s loved getting to pick what they wanted to color, and they turned out really good! You’re never too old to color!

Balloon Badminton!

Balloon Badminton is our resident’s favorite game to play here at Carrington Court! Its our signature game, and whenever a new resident moves in, we always bring them up to play and they warm right up! It is such a fun, engaging game that gets our resident’s moving, smiling and laughing! We love when family and visitors come to help us play with the residents, they sure enjoy that!

Meet Marilyn!

Marilyn LOVES to do puzzles, it’s one of her favorite things to do. She always finishes them so quickly! Once she gets a new puzzle, she is dedicated and spends most of her time working on it until she finishes. Marilyn is fun, smart, kind, outgoing, sweet and always so happy! She always has a smile, and says “Hello” to everyone. She is everyone’s friend here at Carrington, and she loves to get to know people! She is such a joyful person to have a Carrington, and we are so happy to have her apart of our family here! Here are some pictures of her recent puzzles she has been working on.

Here is our beautiful Marilyn! She is such a sweet, kind, happy lady!

Liberty Park Outing!

Today on our outing, went to Liberty Park! Our resident’s enjoyed getting to sit by the pond to feed the ducks and Canadian geese! Diane dared Azia to get a duck to eat out of her hand, Azia doesn’t back out of a challenge and she got a duck to eat out of her hand 3 times! Alicia had one duck stay around her almost the whole time, it just couldn’t get enough! It was a great summer morning spent at Liberty Park! We want to thank Jim’s daughter Joleen for coming to help, and enjoy this morning with us!
