Carrington Court was excited to have our annual Trick or Treaters come to our home! Every year we invite children of all ages to come dressed in their Halloween costumes and go Trick or Treating around our facility so our residents have the opportunity to give away candy and see all of the unique costumes.
Each of our residents sat by their room with candy as the Trick or Treaters paraded around the hallways. We had a wonderful turnout this year! Residents grandchildren and great grandchildren, employee’s and their children, friends and other members of our community came and participated in this event. It was wonderful to see the smiles on our residents faces as they interacted with children and gave away their candy.
As always, we look forward to keeping this tradition going as we bring a unique sense of excitement, entertainment and opportunities to Carrington Court.
We at Carrington Court are excited to show our support for Alzheimer’s research and awareness from our ‘Purple Tuesdays’ to the yearly Alzheimer’s walk. Purple is the national color for Alzheimer’s awareness so every Tuesday our staff and residents wear purple to show our support. This year we were very excited to be apart of the Alzheimer’s walk again. Together we choose to give away purple bags that said ‘Help Carrington Court get Alzheimer’s in the bag!’ It was wonderful to see so many supporters carrying the bags. Many other local groups and family members came to support and participated in the walk.
“The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease, the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death.”
