Family Easter Party

Last Saturday was our Family Easter Party where our families, friends, residents, and staff came together to enjoy some great food, egg hunt, and the Easter Bunny.

We had a fabulous time and appreciate all the family and friends that came and supported their loved ones at this wonderful event!

Easter Egg Hunt – Fun for All

Last Saturday morning we had our annual Easter Egg Hunt at Carrington Court Assisted Living.  I think everyone agreed that it was a wonderful success.  Thanks to all who attended and made this a great morning for our residents.  The Easter Bunny was kind enough to make a visit and pose for pictures with anyone who ask.  I have to mention, that one of the children at the Easter Egg Hunt did find a Easter egg hid in the dirt of the plants from last year.   Let’s just say, it looked a little dirty!

LDS Conference Tour

This week, some of our residents took a tour of the LDS Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah!

Easter Egg Hunt Preparation

Our residents have been working hard at stuffing over 700 plastic Easter eggs with yummy candy for the Easter egg hunt on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m at Carrington Court Assisted Living.  Luckily, our University of Utah (Exercise & Sport Science Interns) gave us the extra help to get the job done.  We look forward to seeing some very excited children! Please make sure you look at the last picture, we had a slacker.  She couldn’t help herself, she had to have her ear right to the radio admiring the singing of Frank Sinatra.

Rinceoiri Don Spraoi Irish Dancers

We had a great Friday afternoon celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.  We were lucky enough to have the Rinceoiri Don Spraoi Irish Dancers perform for us.  They told us they were up at 4:00 a.m. on Friday and had been going strong with performances all day.  Their first performance of the day was on KSL Channel 5.  They wowed our residents and our Irish eyes were smiling!  We would like to extend a great big thank you to all the dancers from Carrington Court.

Pet Therapy

Last week, our residents visited with there friend, “Bella”.  She is a German Shepard and will be coming every Friday afternoons.

Enjoying the talents of one of our residents

One of the fine gentlemen here at Carrington Court started playing the harmonica during his military service in the Korean War.  Today he has a suitcase full of harmonicas to play including a fabulous sounding pinkie size harmonica!  His advice to us was, “you have to be careful that you do not swallow it!”

He did a fabulous presentation for our residents and they wanted more, more, more.

Check out his performance:

“Sweets Candy Factory”

Last week, the residents went to the “Sweet’s Candy Factory.”  We had the opportunity to take a tour of the candy factory.  We got to taste laffy taffy, rasberry sticks, and jellybeans samples on the way.  Here are some fun pictures of the residents.
